Gaelic Telecom sponsors schools

Gaelic Telecom, the official telecom partner of the GAA and the country's fastest growing telecoms provider, has announced its sponsorship of the Cumann na mBunscol National Awards 2006. Cumann na mBunscol is the largest sports organisation within the primary education system in Ireland, promoting the teaching and playing of Gaelic games. The national awards ceremony provides opportunities for 3,000 primary schools across the 32 counties to display their work and receive tangible reward for their efforts. This fitting partnership comes at a time when Gaelic Telecom has expanded its existing fundraising initiative to primary schools throughout the country. The official telecom partner of the GAA provides GAA members and supporters with a competitive telephone and broadband service, and subsequently generates revenue for their county clubs, boards and now local primary schools.

Gaelic Telecom's innovative programme focuses on customers, allocating 15% of their monthly telephone calls back to their nominated county club, boards and national schools. In 2006, Gaelic Telecom will have generated in excess of €1 million for the Gaelic community throughout the country. All funding goes directly back to county clubs, boards and primary schools nominated by the growing number of Gaelic Telecom customers.
