Metro: October 18th, 2005 Kelly's Telecom delight GAA President Sean Kelly has praised official partner Gaelic Telecom after the communications company revealed it was on target to fund the association to the tune of €500,000. Eircom rivals Gaelic Telecom forged a linkup with the GAA whereby 15% of customers' call charges are rebated to their nominated club. It is a win-win scenario for the customers, the company and the GAA with the first payment of €100,000 in the process of being paid to clubs around the country. Gaelic Telecom estimate that clubs could make as much as €9,000 per year from the scheme which should yield €500,000 for clubs in total over the next year. Kelly said: "We are grateful to all members and supporters for joining this scheme." |
