Billing Guide
Understanding Your Bill
  • Total on your last bill
This is a record of the amount of your last bill, any payments we have received from you along with any amount that remains outstanding.

  • Payment in Advance for Line Rental
This charge includes two months payment in advance for your phone line rental, the same as your previous supplier. If this is your first bill it may also contain a part month line rental charge. Don't forget - You've already paid the "part month rental" above to your last phone company, make sure they pay you back. If you are in receipt of the DFSA Allowance it will appear in this section.
(Note: a part month payment occurs when you join our service during a month rather than the beginning of the month)

  • Charges for Calls & Call Packs
Gaelic Telecom call packs are billed in advance. If this is your first bill and you have selected call packs, then you will be billed for a part month & 2 months in advance. Review your voice packs along with the calls made outside your package on the next page of your bill. Teleservices which include premium rate numbers, 1550, 1530, 1890 etc are also detailed in this section.

  • Charges for Broadband & Dial-Up
These charges relate to your broadband and / or internet dial-up usage charges along with usage charges outside your broadband pack. Broadband packs are billed in advance. If you are a new broadband customer please ensure that you cancel your dial-up service with your old provider, you don't need to pay double. Also detailed in this section are additional charges related to your broadband / dial-up service, e.g., family protection, dsl modem rental etc.

  • Charges for Additional Options
Included here will be ancillary service charges such as call waiting, call answering, mobile barring, etc. These are services that you had with your previous supplier that automatically transferred to Gaelic Telecom. If you don't use these services, please call us and we will remove them. If you are being charged for a telephone handset and are no longer using it, please call us to have it removed.
